I've looked over the Ruger catalog and noticed that on some models of revolvers it says " *now available in 105mm for handgun hunting in Canada".
Is this just a mistake or are the Americans actually allowed to hunt with a handgun in Canada?

Handgun hunting is prohibited in Canada. Why? No good reason.

I would assume that the info printed in the Ruger catalog is a simple miscommunication between their advertising staff and layout people. More US manufacturers are becoming aware of the problem Canada shooters face with the whole SBH issue and some are trying to accommodate us where they can. Ruger is one of them.

They got mixed up with the hunting part...It's so the barrel length is long enough to be NOT prohibited in Canada. Good on them.

Most definately but not due to Canada's laws Bill Ruger Sr before he died was instrumental in promoting the limited capacity mag's.

Why many do not support Ruger...
