ruger compact magnums in standard calibers

I sure like the look of the new ruger compact magnums. I hope that ruger sees fit to bring out some standard calibers in the same format.ie open sights 20 inch barrel. I would really go for 7 08 or 260.

Ruger is chambering the wood/blued model for .308 this year. Neat, practical, little rifle.

Their regular Compact model comes in 7mm-08. 12.5" LOP and a lighter barrel though. The 'Magnum' LOP is 13.5". That short LOP long enough for you? Mind you, it wouldn't be difficult nor terribly expensive to fix.
The weight of 'em will increase the felt recoil too.

Yeah littleboylefty I just checked rugers site and they are in 308. I would like to get my hands on one to see how it feels. Hope 308 does well and they try some others like 7 08,nothing wrong with a short handy 308 either. Hmmmm.
