I have a ruger deerfield carbine the tube fed model handed down to me and it has a crack in the stock. Can anyone point me in right direction for parts. If you have any pictures of your own deerfields please post them

Going to be a challenge to find a stock for your rifle -

"There are no parts and no service available for the below discontinued products that were produced in Newport, NH.

.44 Magnum Carbine Rifles (original model)

The Ruger Deerfield Carbine has a detachable magazine. It's the earlier version that has a tube magazine and was called the Deerstalker (until Ithaca raised an issue with Ruger over the name). Here's my Deerfield Carbine :d -

* my mistake, Macon makes replacment stocks, not Boyd's.

Here's my Deerfield Carbine ]

Nice! what kind of groups can realistically be expected?

Just bought a 1985 manufactured tube fed carbine. Found a picatinny /weaver rail off ebay. Now waiting for my ammo to appear. Also now on the hunt for a Deerfield. Have a WTB in the EE but these fine rifles/carbines are like hens teeth. :( Thanks for posting info on it Slamfire. Boyd was at one time making a stock for the early style but can't find it there anymore.

Ruger should consider doing a limited run of these as distributor exclusives through Lipsey's or whatever. These nifty little carbines would sell.

An ad for the Deerstalker from the early '60s ;) -
