Anybody here have one? I've been considering the regular carbine that looks like a 10/22, but then realized this version is out there. Based on what I've read...most...if not all of the ones made are in the US, but it got me wondering if there are any among my CGN brethren. Would love to hear from someone who owns one. Better yet...would love to see some photos too!

How do you like it? Accuracy? Do you hand load? I've read the loads need to be fairly hot to cycle these guns reliably.

I got a Deerfield! Finally, after searching forever. I paid dearly for it, had to! I haven't shot it much, yet. I have wanted one for a long long time. I like it. I fondle it often. I will load for it after I start shooting it. I'm guessing it will have pie plate accuracy. It sits in the safe with my bolt action M77 walnut/blued 44mag and my 96/44 lever action with custom heavy barrel that has tightened up to coffee cup accuracy. I hope you can find one. If & when you do, don't hum & haw too long. Thicken up your wallet as soon as possible while you are searching. Good luck.

I've got one as well.I bought a nib matching pair,96 & 99 a couple yrs ago but got sick and had to sell.I bought the 99 I have now last fall in the USA and had I Run Guns bring it up here for me.I was really surprised with how accurate it was.At 100 yrds everything is inside 2".Shot a big doe with it last fall as well so it's paid for in my books. You can find them at a decent price in the USA and have them brought up here for less than what guys what here but maybe not now with the way the dollar is now.I was lucky the dollar was at par when I bought mine. The main reason I bought the 99 and not the older style was the use of a mag.Like two-dogs said don't waste time thinking if you see one and make sure your wallet will choke a cow !

I had 2, they sell for lots. I sold them as I did not shoot them. They were 4-500 just a few years ago, now, I have seen guys ASKING a grand. Still about 4-500 at the Phenix gun show. They are fun to shoot and would be fine as a bush gun.

I have one of the older ones. I have never physically seen one of the newer Deerfield models, but if they have a detachable mag that would be a bonus as the older ones are tube mags and a bit of a pain to unload even with the cartridge cut off. My first one was made in the first year of production it had no cartridge cut off so all cartridges had to be cycled through the action for unloading. Over all the 10/22 style is a very light and handy gun. It doesn't have the accuracy of a bolt action but well within minute of deer out to 100yds. I have zero issues with jamming or functionality.
