I am in the market for a wheel gun and I am really interested in the Ruger GP 100 6" Stainless model. I've check quite a few retailers and because of the MASSVIE price differences I figured I'll post what I found to help anyone else who might also be looking into the GP.

*ALL prices are for the 6" stainless version (the blued one is usually about $40-60 cheaper)

**Prices also include the Ontario tax of 13%

Gobles Firearms (my local store) - $880.27
Frontier Firearms - $790.94
Wolverine Supplies - $745.80
Ellwood Epps - $726.23

My local store (Williams Arms, Port Perry) has the s/s GP100 with the shorter barrel listed at $695 (not incl tax) I ordered a S & W 686 however.

Am I reading Epps' website wrong? I'm seeing it for $642.68... But personally I'm looking at the blued version.

Have you considered a Smith & Wesson 686? For the same price as a GP100 you can purchase a used 686 on the EE.

I have...but I would rather buy it "new" so I can have it covered if I need repairs and sometimes get annoyed with reading that 99% of all the handguns on the EE are "mint condition with only a few boxes of ammo through em". that and I am a Ruger fan, with a trigger job or spring kit I believe the GP 100 is a better, more solid gun over the 686 for much cheaper.

Re- GP100

With a new one you don’t have worry that it been abused. One of my Rugers messed up a few months after purchasing. Ruger fixed it but I had to pay for the shipping.

Glad to hear all the positive messages regarding the GP100. I just bought one (my first hand gun!) after so many years of mooching from others. I picked the GP100 because of my positive reactions to one that a friend owns (and he would not sell me his).

Sort of regret jumping on the 1st one that came along, now that there's an "as new" one for a lot less in the EE. As someone else said here, I like having the warranty and knowing no one has abused it (before I do) is worth the extra money.
