Weird that the swapped the reinforcing bolts. Old stock was much nicer. I’d be repairing it and reinstalling if it were mine. New stock almost looks plastic, like they put spray in stain/warning to cover lower grade sapwood.

I’m sorry this whole thing happened to you. Really sucks.

I guess to each their own, I enjoy the darker finish on walnut, I'll list the old one, someone might like it for their 308. I had sent the reinforcing bolts with the rifle, not sure if they re used them or used new ones, the OG stock wasn't sent away with it.

Forgot to post the picture, New stock on the rifle, Old one beside it, New stock is much darker and I like that, Old one had some nicer grain for sure.

Nice, I like the look of the new stock. The old one is nice as well though.
