Ruger gunsite

I loved my GS Scout.

I like the camo on this one.
The more I look at it the more I like it.
Not sure I can get behind the colour of the cerakote in it.
Especially the rings.

Definitely dig the stock.

Good work, that stock looks really sharp! I looked into one of those a few years ago. Glad I was able to try one out before I purchased it. Great looking rifles but just didn’t fit me and found it just felt awkward. Went with a Savage scout instead.

For anyone curious, this was the first paint job it had and before the cerakote was applied.
Not sure which I prefer more, they're both nice looking setups

Being a Ruger M77 fan, I tried to like the gunsite scout. I had one earlier on before they doubled in price for no reason. Stainless pepper laminate 308.
It was a handy compact rifle but it was certainly not light by any stretch of the scale. I originally bought it for treestand hunting but in the end favored my cut down 19" barrelled no1 mkiii Lithgow enfield as it was lighter and felt more balanced to me. Only thing lacking is the excellent iron sights the gunsite comes with.
They are cool rifles though and some days i wish i hadn't sold mine considering what they go for now LOL

I had 2. I could never warm up to either. One needed work to function, and neither could meet my accuracy standards. I REALLY wanted to like them, the concept is great (not the scout part, the rifle in general)... close, but not enough. I would try a third, but the price is insane.

Having said that, that is a fantastic looking build, definitely a keeper.

Anyone know where to get a plastic stock for this? My wooden one (as nice as it is) is starting to crack behind the tang.
Contact Gravel Agencies. It’s part # 90574. It’s a weird Ruger thing but they want your serial number. They do have a form they will send you. You pay up front and wait. It took about six weeks to get mine…~$240…..delivered to northern BC. Service was excellent.

Yup.... I bought mine from Wanstalls in BC for 695.00 on sale at the time. Now they are double that or more
