Looking into a new .22 rimfire and looking hard at the ruger K77 stainless models. top concern is accuracy. I like the fit and feel, they shoulder nice and are the most "rifle" feeling .22 I've used in a while. haven't talked to more then one person that owns them though.

anyone shoot theses? how do they shoot?

Check on RimfireCentral. The Ruger 77/22's don't have a great reputation. I had one, couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Friend has one and he is dissapointed in it as well. For the bucks they are and how nice they look, it's too bad they don't shoot better.

I've got one, the laminated stock .22 Mag version, and it's definitely a keeper. It's the fifth or sixth .22 Mag I've ever had, and the first one accurate enough to hang onto. Consistently shoots 1 MOA with Winchester Supreme 34-grainers. Lousy trigger out of the box but I swapped it out for an aftermarket replacement. Nicely balanced and has those nice Ruger rings. It's also easy to replace the barrel yourself someday if you want to (I won't).

One January 13th, my buddy placed 1st with one in .22LR in an indoor 50 yard BR match, at the Burlington Club, in the sporting rifle class. He had a Tasco 6-24 or 8-32 scope and was using Midas L ammo. 100 shot match, 4 cards of 25 bulls. 10ring was around 1/4 inch and X was a 1/16" dot. Nice grey stainless, with laminate stock, and he had 3 rotary mags on his bench. Benches were pistol stalls, and not real good for shooting BR from. Seems to me he had his rear bag ahead of the trigger.

My buddy has that saem rifle as NormB's friend, except his is 17HMR. If he told me tomorrow that he was selling it, I would be selling some of my gear to buy it. It easily shoots 1" groups @ 100 yards; it is boring at 50 yards since you just keep landing most of the rounds into the first hole.

Probably the only Rugar I'd consider buying...the stainless one is a sweet handling rifle, and it is put together quite nice IMHO...almost as good as my Swedish Mauser. :)
