Are these good enough actions to build a custom on? I see a slew of Remington's, Winchester's, and Savages but I haven't seen or handled many customs based off the Ruger M77. Are they harder to make shoot good? Or are the shooters just happy the way they come from the factory?
How good is the M77 at keeping the shooter safe in the event of case failure? I wanted to build a custom off the CZ527 but none of the stocks I wanted will inlet for the CZ but they will all do a ruger so I have moved on to considering that option. I have read alot of people bashing the fact that they are cast but Ruger has been around along time and I doubt it should be and issue right?
Whats the differences between the M77 MKII and the hawkeye? Is one better than the other? Thanks
