I recently aquired a Ruger M77 tang model in 308 and while I really like the way the gun looks and feels, theirs an issue with it that is bothering me.
After I fire the gun cold, the bolt will swing up, but will not come back without considerable force. This gradually reduces to the point after 5 shots or so that the bolt works as expected, with no problems.
Could it be something as simple as excess gun oil that is becoming very viscous in the cool air, and then warming after the shots so the gun works properly? Any help would be appreciated.
