Ruger m77 Hawkeye or Ruger American

I have a tikka and a ruger m77. Both very great rifles. I personally cant decide which one is better. MY tikka is a 243 win and Im still dropping moose with it, and my ruger is a 270 and moose still drop, just out a little further it has better legs due to the larger cartridge. anyways what it will come down to is personal preference. I like both and I have two of each, The ruger is really strong and stout while the tikka is really smooth and slick.

Im not all impressed with the ruger American, lost the hinged floorplate, the mauser style action and the nice stout stocks. Not all impressed. I have been hunting since I was three years old and got my first kill when I was 7. So I have a good idea what I like and what I want in a rifle.

Tikka T3 and Ruger M77. I have both, I use both and my freezer isn't empty.

Just this week I ordered a Ruger American All weather chambered in 223. Stainless steel barrel and action, detachable clip, flush mount clip and included scope mounts are some of the reasons I decided on this Ruger over a Savage. At 559.00 this is not an expensive rifle. To shoot paper and the occasional yote hunt it will do want I want. I have also order a Boyd's laminate stock to dress it up a little and give it some added stiffness. Please show me where I can buy a stainless M77 for less than $750. Time I add a decent scope to this package it will be over $1000. That is enough to spend on a rifle for my intended use. There are different guns for different purposes and this will suit my needs. Different strokes for different folks.
