Does anyone know what the differences are (if there is any) between the Hawkeye action and the GSR action.
ie: would a GSR action fit in a Hawkeye stock and allow use of the internal mag/floorplate setup?
Thanks
The actions themselves are identical..... But hawkeyes feed from a hinged floorplate while the gsr feeds fom a mag..... So no, the inletting wouldn't be the same......
Even more interesting would be a .243, .260, 7mm-08, .338 Fed or .358 in the GSR rigging.... hmmmmm....
Stop it Hoyt........ Me first .....![]()
Most info I've found compares the MKII to the GSR, I understand there are some differences between the MKII and Hawkeye though.
A GSR in .243 or even .338 would be awesome......
OR how about a .260 with standard 22" barrel... or even a .358 Win.
358 was what I was originally thinking,
It would probably be less messing around to just rebarrel a GSR to 358win with a NECG front sight.
