They are good guns, I've had one for 30 some years or so. Finally wore out the bolt hold open piece. Still accurate, still reliable, and a good deal at $250. I'd say you missed a deal (assuming good condition), sorry. - dan
That was a very good deal, esp. if it came with a few extra mags.
I've got a MkII that I'll never part with...and I just bought the last four MkII mags Marstar had in stock. I do about 50% of my handgun shooting with the Ruger to practice sight-picture and trigger-control, and it has paid for itself many times over.
