I just bought a Ruger Mark III Hunter and I really like it; it shoots realy well and it looks great. I am having a problem though; the bolt will not always firmly seat. I pulled back on it to release it the first time, but it did not completely close; I thought it was me being easy on it. The next time I used the slide release and it still did not 100% close. Also, I was running through a mag and it did the same thing half way through the mag. In every case, I just tapped the back of the bold and it locked up nice and tight.
I am thinking it may be a weak recoil spring may be a bit weak, but one of the guys at the range asid it may be a problem with the extractor. Anyone here have any confirmation on either idea, or another possible cause?
