Ruger Mark III Target, Ammo?

Hi,

Just wonder what ammo everyone recommends? I picked up some winchester 555 since there was nothing left near me. How is this ammo for accuracy and reliability? Also wondering how the cci mini-mag and other ammo compares.

Whatever's handy/cheapest. It's a Ruger, it'll eat anything, and still be accurate at 50m.

edited because of your last post- I haven't heard of those issues with Mk.3's. My brother has a stainless Mk.3, hasn't mentioned any problems.
 
I've been getting away with useing Federal bulk pack.I found it worked much better for me then Winchester for some reason...Keep the action well lubed...
 
:DI recently acquired a 'few' .22 target pistols and for something to feed them, I picked up a brick of CCI standard velocity from a friend. Then, while on a Christmas shopping mission in Naniamo the other day, I stopped in at the 'candy store', WSS and bought a couple of bricks of Remington standard velocity. Don't know if I'll get out before the end of the festive season but shortly thereafter;), let the games begin.
 
Hi, I've tried the CCI (12xx - 14xx - 1635 velocity) works fine, however more $$$, I'Ve also tried Lapua .... jams here and there and also $$$, last try was Blazer ammo :) wow, 2000 rounds with maybe...maybe 2 jams, works just flawless..... and the price is very good, 525 Blazer box (big black/silver box ammo) ammo for $26 .....aluminum base....,

I now shoot Blazer ammo also in my Beretta PXStorm and 92fs, zero jam with this ammo, accurate is ok considering the price...., you need to try it, .....
 
Picked up the below. Figured since it is brand new I would should a 555 box complete. Then try the rest.

2x winchester 555
1x CCI mini-mag
1x federal match
