Ruger Mark IV and Mark IV 22/45 owners... how was the QC on your gun? Any issues?

I've been considering grabbing either a Mark IV or Mark IV 22/45 for a long time as I consider the Ruger Mark series to be the standard against which all other 22 handgun designs are judged. My Mark II runs like a clock, but the lack of quality control on the Ruger products I've seen over the past several years has really put me off buying anything else. An almost endless number of internet gun forum posts about Ruger's QC echoes what I've seen. Everything from 10/22s all the way up to very expensive revolvers. It's frustrating since they have such cool gun designs (Mark IV, 22/45, 10/22, PC Carbine, etc) but it's a roll of the dice buying one online/sight unseen as the chance of getting a flawed gun seems pretty high.

For all you Mark IV, and Mark IV 22/45 (excluding the "Lite" versions) owners out there, what has been your experience? Did you have any issues? Canted front/rear sights, malfunctions, rough machining/heavy burrs, sights falling off, pins or screws working loose during use, scope/accessory rails canted/improperly installed, loose/sloppy frame to receiver fit? Would you buy another?

Handgun prices are also so high right now due to the "freeze", but... this might be my last chance to ever buy one of these guns, so I'm torn.

Any experiences you can share would be appreciated.

Thanks

Our club bought several Mark IV's and after returning them brand new to get the issue with the safety fixed all of the rear sight pins broke and had to be replaced. Not impressed.

I’ve got at least 5000rounds through my markIV target. Great pistol and accurate. Shoots most ammo well except for the crappy Remington golden bullets.

I got one a couple years ago, stainless heavy barrel one (don't remember the model) and had to send it back to the the warranty place in Quebec. Rear sight was driven in all messed up, needed a new rear sight and the slot had to be cleaned up. It shoots great, but I was no impressed. Took a long time for the warranty stuff to actually happen too.

I've got the Mark 4 Hunter and Lite. Flawless guns. The only ammo they hate is the Remington Golden Bullets. However, I don't fault the Rugers as all of my 22's hate the Remington Golden's. Stick with the CCI and you will have no problems. 1200 to 1600 FPS stuff cycles great.

Rear sight pins were a problem even with the MKIII. I had a MKIII 22/45 and got it with the holes drilled for the mount crooked, and the replacement after 6 months had crooked sights ( that was noticed, and fixed good enough ) but then the rear sight wouldn't adjust and the pin kept on sliding out.

Sold it and bought a Buckmark.

I have a brand new mk 4 22/45 5 inch target and it’s flawless shoots like a dream only think I changed was trigger with an aftermarket one but that’s just me not being able to leave anything stock
