Who has em? What can you tell me about them? Are they as f*cking cool as they sound? I already have and 858 so i don't need another x39 and i don't need a 223 at all so the cartridge/gun combination in question sounds faptasticaly awesome. Then to have it in a promag sparta stock with a red dot or something....I think i need to change my shorts....

Anyway, even without the add ons, anyone got one of these? Lemme know all about em if you got em s.v.p.

Danke

I have experience with the mini 14 in 223 and I have an XCR in 6.8 SPC, the mini 14 should be accurate enough within the ranges the SPC will be used.

The 6.8 is a neat little cartridge, I use mine for coyotes, wolves, deer and also cariboo, the cariboo are a little on the large side but easy to kill. I'm pushing the 110gr Barnes TSX pretty hard out of mine and it shoots well. I use mine when I figure shots will be no more than 200-250 yards but 300 is my personal limit as I have a 340yard range at home and i've shot it alot but it does drop a good amount so dialing up the scope or a good BDC will be very handy.

Thanks for the info Max. I noticed when you had your XCR up for sale and i wanted to buy it but even with you having set a good price on it, i'd still have to rob a bank to afford it. :D Sounds, and looks like a really nice rifle in a pretty cool cartridge. When i heard Ruger made the mini 14 in 6.8 i thought i might be a good way of bridging the gap between 223 and x39 in a semi auto available to guys who didn't want to spend over a grand. Still seems cool and there was one for sale around here recently but i didn't have the cash in hand which makes me a sad panda. Anyway, did you ever sell off those extra boxes of casull rounds you were trying to get rid of? Lemme know s.v.p. I could use an extra few boxes right now. Thanks.
