Hu guys I now own a stainless ruger mini 14 ranch rifle. I've wanted one for years. It was the first center fire I ever shot as a kid.

Now I have one, I think I want to keep the weight down and get a peep sight for it. I really can't use the factory folding sight at all but peeps work fine for me. Any suggestions on what sight to get that will work on my receiver.
It's a 188 model.

The other issue is the front blade is on a tiny bit of an angle to the left. Will this effect iron use?

Thanks in advance.

they are quite reliable, repeatable, you can get different apertures if you are so inclined, and the adjustment should be enough to deal with the crooked front sight.

I've had lots of Minis over the years, dating all the way back to the original wood-handguard model; never saw or heard of one without an aperture sight. The only folding leaf sights I know of came on the newer ones, and even they were folding apertures. Do you have a pic of your sight? I'm wondering if somebody in its past did some gunsmithing and made some changes.

I wonder if someone lost the middle peep blade part of one of these
