Ruger Mini -14 Target Rifle: .223 Rem.

These days everyone seems to claim below 1" 3-shot group, some say the same for 5-shot group

I say get the rifle and shoot it, if you contemplaiting on purchasing one then read some reviews, and don't forget one might be holding a 1/4" capable rifle and gets 1" groups :sniper:

I read a review in which the user was using 62gr. Black Hills ammo and was getting consistent sub MOA results after tuning the harmonic damper for it, that's the way I'm remembering it anyways haha.

Internet forum shooters(as opposed to gun rag writers) are reporting decent accuracy with good ammo. The after taxes $1110.39 price(Epp's has several. $974.03 plus taxes) might change your mind about one though.

My cousin bought one last fall and we took it out and at 100 yrds we were both getting 3/4 in groups shooting Winchester White box ammo.Don't remember what grain bullets they were tho.

Target Mini

does any one have one?...what the best I could expect from it?

I have 400 rounds thru mine. I have been using 53-55 grain bullets, H-335 with Fed primers loaded into Milbrass. I get around MOA to 300 yards with a 3 x 9 scope. No malfunctions to date. Ejection is aggressive. Trigger break is 4 lbs. after light stoning of hammer\sear. Very slight trigger creep. I added a carry sling as the rifle is...heavy... I have been using it on coyotes as a medium range calling rifle. As it is muzzle-heavy with the dampener, I am going to try to work-up a load with it removed. It has the qualities of a "keeper" for my use.

You can get one for under 1K including taxes.
