Hi,
I got a Ruger mini 30 that fires twice with one trigger pull...what could that be or any suggestions how to solve that?
Facts:
-factory 5 round mags.
-was as supposed to be and started doing it after 300 rounds
-Does it even real clean ( like, i had the firing pin out, made sure everything is clean and moves freely )
-Ammo independent ...does it with blazer brass as well as with Norinco copperwashed SKS ammo.
-does not matter how tight you hold the gun and if you slowly squeeze the trigger or just yank it back.
-No FTF's or FTE's

...sure, i could send it to Quebec to Ruger for warranty, but I sure don't like to not have the rifle for 8 weeks.
Any ideas?

Nope, both go with the pull of the trigger held back...Trigger not 100%?, where to look at? The claws that hold the hammer are rock solid, and trigger being too fine isn't the cause as the thing has a long creep before release.

Ruger...f:P:

After I did examine the trigger group, I found there is nothing (or nothing left) on the secondary sear to catch the hammer. A little touch and the hammer goes to the primary sear, which is the trigger. Now, if I keep that pulled, nothing catches the hammer...spelling full auto. It would have been a warranty job, but 5 minutes with the stone did the job. Only Ruger can fix Ruger,my A$$! Both sears hook up solid now, world is back to normal.
Thanks, minilover for pointing out the sear/triggerpart...I was looking at the firing pin and or bolt first...
