Whoa 1199.95......that's like 1400$ dollars tax/shipping to my door......thats the most expensive mini 30 I've seen for sale....... Is it limited edition? Why so much? This is highway robbery!

I was excited cuz I've been looking for one but that's a high price. I'm assuming it's cuz it's stainless barrel, NR, low supply in Canada plus the sh!tty $. Dang.

I've seen reports that the mini 30 doesn't like the cheap 7.62 x 39 ammo. Is that true?

Light hammer strikes useing the eastern bloc steel cased ammo. Failure to fire !! I haven't tried my 2014 production ammo yet?? I quess a sponser sells heavier hammer springs?? So more money!!

Too bad it's just not an accurate rifle without the barrel brace. You'd figure they'd have redesigned it not to have so much barrel whip so it could shoot straighter.

I thought I read somewhere that Ruger advised not to use surplus ammo in the Mini 30.
I never asked Ruger specificallyabout the Mini-30. But all of their bolt guns you can safely use .223/5.56 and .308/7.62x51. And it is not a tack driver. Can you make it one ?? Don't know! How much money do you have??

I remember reading the same; their reasoning was that they build their firearms to current SAAMI specs for that caliber, and old surplus ammo may not conform to that standard (case dimensions, OAL, max pressure, etc). It's not that it won't work for sure, just not recommended.

Okay guys, this is not a free for all.

I understand our new prices will provide some sticker shock, but get used to a 70 cent dollar.

This does not mean we are gouging.
