I am thinking about trading in my Ruger Mark 1 .22 on a new 9mm to join my friends at the range. It has a 5.5" bull barrel, two 9 shot clips, the original walnut grips and a set of rosewood grips, a shoulder holster, two sets of sights (original and a new Ram Line set) hard case, trigger and case lock and the original cardboard box in came in from the factory. I would rate it at 90%+ condition. Any idea what I should be able to expect on a trade? I have about $400 into it and hope to see close to that back on trade but wanted to know if that was realistic.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Your Ruger would be on most shooters "never sell" list, the higher cost of 9mm ammo means you may be reluctant to shoot it as much.
It never hurts to have a 22 pistol in the safe for fun plinking and also taking guests out to the range.

I'll echo the others- don't do it. You'll regret it down the road. I have one just like yours, and I'll never sell this gun. It's by far the most accurate handgun I own.

Thanks guys. You all make a good point. I will need to reconsider trading it off. It is a nice gun to shoot and I would probably miss it if I let it go.
Thanks again.

If trading to a gun shop they will not give much as they need to resell for profit. If trading with an individual you can get a fairer deal but yeah, it is around the $350 mark with the bull barrel . Unless you need to trade it off, keep it.
