Hello all, I recently purchased a Ruger MK II from a member here, had two mags included. When I received the pistol, the second mag was different from the factory mag, with a stainless steel bottom. From what I can tell it's a 9 round MK I magazine, it fits incredibly tight and removing it from the pistol is a two hand ordeal that I don't want to be mucking about with at the range. Anyone know if it's even safe to use a MK I magazine in a MK II gun? Is there anything I can do to modify it to fit properly using a micrometer and grinder? Or should I ask for a partial refund and send the magazine back? Not looking to call anyone out here, just want to know my options, thanks :)

The value of the mag is not a concern to me. Trying to find a buyer or trader for a mag for a 30+ year old pistol is tedious, something that I shouldn't have to do in the first place.

Although I might not have a choice and will have to do just that Hitzy.
