I have a couple of questions about the Ruger MK1 / Standard if we have any experts in the house;
1) I know that Ruger 10/22’s and I believe MK2’s and 3’s can be dry fired without damaging the firing pin or peening the chamber face; the MK1 / Standard was the first Ruger made, can it be dry fired without damage? (The MK1 / Standard does not have a bolt hold open, I count my shots but…)
2) Does anyone know if these pistols are safe to use high velocity cartridges such as CCI mini-mags or CCI stingers?
Thanks for any help, I could look this stuff up but I’m lazy and you guys are usually better than encyclopedias anyway.
