Ruger MKlll

Sylvester Sports in Bonnyville AB is a VQ dealer. I enjoy my Victory trigger I got from Tandemkross.

Sylvester Sports in Bonnyville AB is a VQ dealer.

This is where I just bought my VQ Accurizing Kit for my MKIII Hunter. I called them up, super friendly, took my order, and I had the parts 4 days later.

I try to buy Canadian, but finding parts can be frustrating.

Milarm in Edmonton carries them.

Thanks,
Cal.

I had a very bad time trying to order this kit through Milarm.

I got the Voquartsen kit from Sylvester Sports. Very good experience with them.

Buy the Mk2 kit and install it in your Mk3. The Mk2 kit comes with a hammer bushing and you can remove the magazine disconnect. Makes it easier to reassemble after cleaning.

Thanks for the reply's. UNAGi604 I tried ordering from Brownells but the kit is over $100 any thing over $100 and they will not ship it to canada. There is also some issues with trigger parts.

Having done just that, I noticed that the MK2 hammer bushing is thinner as it does not have the shoulder for the disconnect spring. I moved to the SamLam bushing, whih was superior. YMMV.

With the USD, it is maybe $5 cheaper to order from Brownells, but then the shipping from Brownells will make it cost more than ordering through Sylvestre.

I recently ordered items from Tandemkross and they have excellent customer service. Their Canadian shipping rate calculator is on the high side, but they manually check it and they emailed me saying the rate would be $15 cheaper than quoted. I would buy from them again.

Yeah I ordered from them a few times. I took advantage of the Combo kit on sale.

I saw your post about that kit, but they were out of stock when I was looking. Read a lot about the ejectors and firing pins, there seems to be many that don't like that kit's ejector because of the hook and there is debate over any advantages of a titanium firing pin. Have you tried both? What do you think?

This is definately on my buy list in stainless

Both are installed in my 2245 and no issues. Only thing I didnt install was the mag release because I found it too big. My MKII 2245 I sold my friend 3-4 years ago still running the VQ edge extractor.

It makes a big difference on the trigger feel. I used all the VQ parts in the kit: trigger, sear, bushing, spring, and slide release. My trigger pull is now 1.5 lbs and a nice short reset. I went with the black as my gun is stainless, but Sylvestre had them both in stock. a

Thanks for the quick follow-up. I do like the look of that trigger you chose.
