Ruger model 44 semi auto carbine - Barrel band

Would a Ruger 10/22 barrel band and screw work on a Ruger 44 carbine ? Me and my friend went shooting with it and we lost the barrel band and the screw. Would it work or do I need to order an actual 44 barrel band.

I expect you'll need a replacement that is made specifically for the .44 barrel. I don't have an example of either to hand but since the bore of the .44 is nominally twice as big as that of the .22 I'd bet that outside diameter of the former is too big for the latter's barrel band.

Would the 10/22 band screw work with a proper 44 mag barrel band tho ? If so, it'll make things easier

yes, just replaced a battered screw from the front band with a 10/22 screw.
it fits fine.

I bet a Ruger #3 band would fit. Probably easier to find since many were restocked.
