I have a NO 1 tropical here and since I tried mounting a new scope on it,its failing rather fast! Anyone know where I can get a extension ring for it using the factory rib? I need to get the scope back a little and have looked at a bunch of sites but cant find any. It would be really nice if the rib would come off and another base could be mounted instead!!

I had bought a couple offset Ruger brand rings from Snapshots in Quebec - the Ruger Warranty place. That was 5 years ago - 2015. They came in either Ruger Blue or matte at that time - only the #4 height. Had tried the offset rings that Leupold makes for Ruger #1 but did not like them - too much cantilever - with dial indicator on the ring, I could deflect it with moderate thumb pressure of eye piece of scope. Can not get any indication of movement with the Ruger ones. Both types were mounted on the same Ruger factory rail. I know I had held card with one Ruger brand ring in my hand at a store in Regina - deciding whether to buy or not - but that was likely Wholesale Sports, so no real help to OP...
I looked on their site but didn't see any.
We currently don't have rings and bases on our web site but we do carry a good selection of Ruger scope mounting options. Sorry I'm home right now so I can't confirm what we have. Give the shop a call and they will try to find a solution. There are some Ruger to Weaver adapters that may help your problem. Phil.
