ruger or savage

Ok I am looking for a new/uesd O/U I would like to spend 1k I know that is not much but it is all I can justify spending since I only get out skeet shooting once or twice a month and I have a beretta semi for hunting. I have been looking at getting a savage milano or a used ruger red label, the savage is new and the ruger is used both would be mail ordered. The ruger is $999 28" ported bbl and comes with 5 chokes the savage only comes with 3 (would need to buy 2 skeet).

Which would be the better deal? I know you will all say which ever one fits you better but I have never held a Milano.

you should be able to pick up a used citori for 1000 to 1200 much better gun I.M.O

all the used citori's that I can find in that price range are fixed choke ie. mod/imp or mod/full and then I would need to spend more to get it choked

That is a good queston.Both would work.The Ruger is the better looking shotgun in my opinion but I guess I would go with the one I could get at the lowest price.
