Ruger P-85

P89D. Good gun, cheap, reasonably accurate. I had one, traded it towards something else. I'd get another one. :D

I'd recommend the decocker models, for looks.

Another 'inexpensive' 9mm would be a CZ 75. gunsnthings.ca has the best prices.

Today I went down to W.S.S. and bought a P89, the decocker model and the stainless one or atleast the stainless looking one,

for $530::dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :cool:
I did a bunch of looking around on the net for reveiws on these and never did find a bad one, it seems every one apears to be pleased with theirs so why not make it my first pistol:rockOn: :dancingbanana: :rockOn:
Can't wait for the transfer to go through.

P.S. Oops, I miss read the tittle this was about the P85 not the P89, my bad. What is the differance anyways?

P85's will take a beating and still work, will eat any ammo you feed them and still fire, and are reasonably inexpensive. On the other hand, they have a heavy mil-spec trigger, so if you're looking for a target pistol, fuggedaboudit... unless there's a good cheap custom trigger out there? Anybody? And adjustable rear sights while we're at it?

I have a P85 mkII and I love it :D Shoots great, cannot comment on the trigger as I do not have much experiance with other hand guns...yet. The decocker is the reason that I bought it, I never liked lowering the hammer manually I was always worried about it slipping.

built like tanks !
i have had one for a long time, never a bit of troubles- use it for IDPA, and fun shooting- not a target gun, but it does what its made for
