So ended up at a machinist I know and we decided to do a sight upgrade on my trusty old P85 I bought in 1988.
Bought a set of high relief adjustable sights for 35.00 as I found the stock sights shot too low.
Driving out the 2 rolls pins and pulling the front sight blade was uneventful but the rear sight ramp was a challenge to say the least. Had to disassemble the slide and than really whack the rear ramp out.
Well all I can say is I just love the new sight picture and with the upgraded grips while it is a wide grip to handle this old girl just eats whatever I feed her.
Was going to sell her for one of the new poly framed guns but decided why bother this old girl will outlast me can be driven over and keeps on shooting the way it was designed to.
Had the safety recall done, ambi controls don't know what else I need for a sidearm not like I am a LEO.
Hardly wait to get to the range and enjoy her new looks.
