For those who have swapped over to the Glock magwell, the instruction manual says to loosen the takedown screws to remove the receiver. It specifically says to loosen, but do not remove the screws.

I had difficulty removing the receiver initially, and so I continued to loosen at which point one of the screws fell out. After that the receiver came out fine.

Is there any concerns given that I removed one of the takedown screws? I hand threaded it back in and tightened down with Allan key.

Thanks!

From the manual "5. Use a 5/32” hex wrench to loosen (do not remove) the takedown screws from the buttstock. (See Figure 5.)"

They just don't want you to lose the screws. Those screws have a long unthreaded shank so you can leave them loose and the will not fall out when the rifle is taken down.

Just thread them back into the stock, reassemble the rifle, then tighten them into the receiver.

Make sure that the screws on the rifle are tight after shooting it a few times, then they should stay torqued for you. Loose screws are the biggest contributor to folks Ruger PCC not working.
