This is just a curisoity question more than anything......Is it just me or am I seeing more than normal amount of Ruger PC9's for sale on EE. It seems a lot are the first generation model. Could it be because more folks are selling to buy the newer one with the 6 position stock?

Could be a multitude of reasons for some people, I had one which I bought from you LOL, no longer do, reason being is I am shooting trap more.

1) Weight, I hear that a lot. For me it was not an issue, I shoot trap and the guns are heavier.

2) This gun likes to rattle itself loose, from the front sight to the forend end to the charging handle, best thing to do is loctite all screws before using. Keep allen/torx keys with you when shooting.

3) Accuracy, trying to freehand it at 25 and expect a nice/decent group is not easy, that could be contributed to the perceived weight. Hitting a steel plate, well that's easy.

4) It kicks more than one would expect.

5) It's really fun to shoot and easy to burn ammo at the range, with the rising cost of ammo it may be slowing people down.

6) It's a low hanging fruit, semi-auto centre fire could be on the chopping block?

Well I hope you enjoyed it a little while you had it.it just seemed to me to that they were hard to come by not so long ago and now there are quite a few for sale. If the Libtard sock boy wins this next election I fear all guns are doomed.

It is interesting, this dynamic. A few months ago, these were selling out within under an hour. Now several stores have plenty of stock and some have even cut prices.

If weight was an issue, I'd be surprised anyone is selling the stock base version and getting the adjustable stock version which comes with the heavier metal handguard.

Interesting about kicking more - I haven't noticed it - but it doesn't seem much different than my TNW ASR and the ASR is lighter.

It could be that some people just buy it and don't like it - I have heard someone say the stock version is likened to a 10/22 with some cosmetic enhancements.

I do wonder whether your #6 point serves as a bigger impetus - election is being called tomorrow, some people think Trudeau has it in the bag (I'm not so sure) and people presume that if Trudeau wins we can kiss the rest of the semi auto black guns goodbye...if that is the case, we should start seeing if we haven't already, a deluge of various semi auto rifles and PCCs hit the EE.

I wonder about is how many people kept the default Ruger magwell and mag, rather than changing it over to the Glock one. I am glad Ruger gave consumers that option of choice.

I do. I have never changed to the Glock mags. Simply, because I don't have any Glock pistols. I have 5 mags for the Ruger SR9 and never had any problems with them. My Ruger PCC is a base version with a stock. I purchased in in early 2019 and there were no other versions at that time, anyway. It shoots very well. At 100y with a rest the average group is 3+-0.5" using a red dot:

I swapped to Glock because I could get Pmags for $19. where the ruger ones were $62. Its basically buy one get 2 free...

Then i bought a JR carbine that fits Glock as well.
