Ruger PCC, Bolt closes slightly less with barrel installed?

As per the title, when the pcc is broken down, the bolt closes (moves forward) more than when the barrel is inserted. If I shine a light in the magwell with the barrel installed, I can see the slightest bit of light coming from in front of the bolt. Is this normal? I haven't shot it yet and don't know.

Sounds normal, most people retract the bolt when inserting or removing the barrel.

Updated to, sounds normal and looks normal....
It's supposed to rest up against the breech portion of the barrel when the barrel is installed. The small amount of light is likely where the case head would be sitting when there is a round chambered.
