^ ^ What equipment ? I use Vortex Pro LOW rings up to 50mm bell and Varmint barrel (Savage B22FV & CZ455) with a kydex cheek riser on the Savage (Amazon Mathews clone ca $40).
Personally I would find a sheet of kydex, google can help with that. Trim and form it to any shape you need and figure out a way to fasten it to the existing cheek piece. Or a not so pretty but cheap method pipe insulation.
For a sheet of 0.125" plus shipping plus attaching hdwe, you can buy a Matthews 'clone' - ca $40 - ready to mount. Granted you'll have 'left-over' kydex to make more but unless you have a low-cost source for mounting ?
If you want to build up the existing cheek riser I have seen computer mouse pads cut to shape and glued on or held in place with two-sided tape. Foam pipe insulation also works if you need more height as you can stack pieces on top of each other and then use cloth tape to hold everything together.
That's the downside is the handguard. Higher than desired rings are needed for clearance. Cut and twoside tape some foam to get what you need. Then use the new price to make something more permanent and pleasing. It's just plastic. Drill for hardware if you want.
