So picked up a 6.5 creed ruger precision lastnight gen 1 with an aftermarket brake
And a burris mtac 6.5x-20×50

Never owned or shot 6.5 who has one and what round have you used with best results. I plan on reloading for this rifle just looking for feedback on accuracy and best weight/profile of projectile.

I have a little experience with the 6.5CM, but a lot of experience with it's ballistic twin the 260. I have traditionally shot Lapua 139 and 136 Scenar bullets, and will continue to do so as I have a good supply and they shoot very well for me. How ever if I was with out a good supply of the Scenars already I would look at the Hornady ELD-M bullets, difficult to say which one would be the best as there are several weight options available, but I would probably try the 143 and 147 and see how they shoot. Good luck.

I don't have a 6.5 Creed but I shoot a 6.5X47. With 3 to 5 gr more capacity than my X47 I think I would try 140's with R26. If you can't get 140's going fast enough then I recommend 130 Berger Hunting. This bullet performs well for me on steel and deer. At 2985 fps out of my X47 it is no slouch. I agree with Crashman that you should try some ELD's. Cheaper than the Berger with good BC. Some guys are saying they need to be sorted as they are no where near as consistent as the Bergers. Really depends what you will be mainly using your Creed for.
