Ruger precision rifle + (insert glass here) = perfection @ 1000 yards?

My buddy's 6.5 was ringing the gong at 1,300m with his Bushnell:

I wouldn't even think about using that Bushnell unless they doubled the size of the elevation turret. A guy might have to turn it with catcher's mitt on some day...

Wait to you see the price on those crazy rings LOL.

It's well worth the investment IMO.

Do you find you can easily see the bubble level without breaking your cheek weld? The Spuhr rings/unimounts work out to the same price as Badger rings/unimount and a nice level like the Accuracy 1st anyways...

I usually break my cheek weld to check but once the bipod is locked it's not going anywhere.

Saving 500-1000 by going with a PST now will almost certainly result in a loss on the PST when your curiosity gets the best of you and you then buy a NF....!!!

:agree: Over the past year I have purchased one Vortex Viper HSLR, 2 Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR2, a Sightron and finally a NF 12-42x56. The final purchase was the one I should have bought in the first place. GGG is right!

I also did PST to Sightron to NF...lol... Would of saved a bunch of money just buying the NF to begin with and I wouldn't have had to deal with vortex warranty issues...lol...

same with rings, Should of gotten ATRS from the get go.

Lol, I have the same Bushnell on my Savage, the elevation turret doesn't normally sit that high. I think my buddy was dialing between photos so it's pulled up for adjustments.

I haven't won any medals or trophies, but I've dialed that thing between 100m, 500m, 600m, 750m, 1,000m, 1,330m and back again and the elevation was dead on with every shot.....windage on the other hand....well, that's just user error/inexperience, lol! Anyway, awesome optic, I can't say enough good things about it except for the rising cost, holy $hit.

I just looked at Wanstall's prices and they are through the roof. $2600????? Talk about a testament to the weak dollar. I'll say this, I didn't pay nearly that much when I first got mine from Plain Sight Solutions back in the day.

Bushnell is coming out with a DMR 2 that should be out in mid September. It is not 4.5-30 but 3.5-21, I have its predecessor and is a great optic. They have made the turrets lower, 10 mil turrets, illum (if you want that for some reason), and an easier to set zero stop.

They are also improving the ERS and XRS but details are not out yet. Might be worth waiting.
