Ruger precision rifle + (insert glass here) = perfection @ 1000 yards?

Bushnell is coming out with a DMR 2 that should be out in mid September. It is not 4.5-30 but 3.5-21, I have its predecessor and is a great optic. They have made the turrets lower, 10 mil turrets, illum (if you want that for some reason), and an easier to set zero stop.

They are also improving the ERS and XRS but details are not out yet. Might be worth waiting.

Where did you hear this?

I've been suspecting this would happen ... For such a popular optic not many people have stock and there have been some sales on Bushnell products.

I also did PST to Sightron to NF...lol... Would of saved a bunch of money just buying the NF to begin with and I wouldn't have had to deal with vortex warranty issues...lol...

same with rings, Should of gotten ATRS from the get go.

I have to agree with the ATRS rings. I have 3 NF 1x 3-15x, 2x 8-32x56 scopes, and 1 10-50x60 SIII Sightron. All are good. I like the NF zero stop and the glass is really clear on them. The Sightron 50x is pretty nice to work with although the glass isn't quite as clear as the NF scopes at the same maximum magnification of 32X. Don't get me wrong though, the Sightron at at just over half the price of the NF NXS scope is well worth it and all adjustments are solid.

I had a SPUHR mount for about 2 weeks, once the novelty wore off I sold it and got ATRS rings...lol... SPUHR mounts are great but spending that money on ammo and learning how to shoot was more important to me in the end.

Bare in mind that although the bushy is durable and has the right features in the newer 10 mil versions, it's glass does not compare very well to the sightron or nightforce. The cheaper price for so many features is reflected in the glass quality.
The vortex pst's are just a hair better glass than the bushnell, and not as good as the nightforce nxs and shv series.
The sightron ffp siii has better glass than all of them, extremely noticeable vs the bushnell, and just a better ability to resolve detail at distance vs the nightforce nxs/shv. But it's more lightly built and only 5 mils per rev.
The nightforce shv f1 would be a good compromise if it had enough mag, hopefully they'll make a 24 power or greater eventually.
So bushy for banging steel prs style, where you'll also be kicking the hell out of your scope, and have good feedback from pre identified targets. And sightron for shooting f-class style, where you'll be easier on the scope, and the glass quality will aid with corrections.
