Bought this rifle a few weeks ago and I'm not overly impressed. It constantly jams unless I push up on the mag while chambering a round. Is there an aftermarket mag out there that's better than Ruger's pitiful piece of junk? It's the same mag as the 10/22 and I'm told they have issues too.

Yeah, that's an issue. The only helpful thing I've been able to figure is to have a big pile of the 10 round mags, and pick the ones that feed with the fewest problems. Butler Creek 10rnd are no better.

BTW I don't think the 10/22 has this same problem. Seems to be RPR specific.

Go to rimfirecentral.com in the states. There maybe a problem with the mag well and the stock. I think I’ve read about this but can’t remember the fix

Guys have also traced mag feed problems to accuracy problems where feeding from the mag causes damage to the bullet and then it doesn't fly straight.

There are work arounds starting with single feed manually when accuracy testing and then deburr and polish anything that might degrade accuracy from the hand fed rounds.

I have a few 10 round mags that work fine. A couple months ago I opened a NIB mag and I started having that issue. The old mags still work fine.

Hopefully the fix is as simple as that for you.

Also, ammo choice may be a factor.
