Does anyone know the amount of weight required to compress the recoil spring in the Ruger P89DC 9mm. I am looking to install a lighter spring to use in IPSC.
I am using 3.6gr of VV with 147gr EMJ bullets from BDX. I seem to be experiencing some random ejection, feeding and stove pipe issues when shooting due to lack of appropriate blowback. I know I could just increase the powder to solve this issue but I would rather just replace the recoil spring to a lighter one since this load is just above the power factor.
Also, does anyone know, since the P89 was basically built on the M-1911, are the springs interchangeable????
