Hiya all!!! I would like to know how much is valued a ruger red label Duck unlimited edition ? The gun is like new condition I think it shot only 50 round. I think it is a 28 inch barrel but I'm not sure . Want your opinion if this is a good puchasefor skeet and trap?

Thanks to all

If your a DU gun collector then only a NIB gun is worth the extra money otherwise your running the same price as a standard factory Red Label once they have been fired. Your probably in the $1200.00 - $1400.00 range with that number of rounds fired IMHO.

I've owned and shot skeet w/ a Red Label for years. Love the gun. As for the DU thing, I can't comment on price. The last time a checked a 12ga Red (3 years ago?) it was well over 1600 bucks + taxes.

I'd be inclined to agree with Rem300. The specialty of that gun is gone once it was fired. It wouldn't hold any collectability status any longer. Maybe in years to come but not now.

Then again, I'm not a collector. I'm a shooter. Guns are meant to bu fired! WTS, I also wouldn't mind spending ~ $150 or so over the cost of a comparable used Red Label just to get it. But that would be me.

du edition red label

the DU thing makes it worth less IMHO. As far as i'm concerned, du has bastardized it's collectors satatus by putting out too much common stuff.
The 28" barrels would make it a good skeet gun, but for trap you might want something with a longer set of barrels took down.
You have interchangeable chock tubes right?

For $ 1500 it is a reasonably good nearly brand new field gun that you should be able to do well-enough at Skeet with - but hardly a dedicated "Trap" or "Skeet" gun made for target shooting.
