Just a thought. Is it likely that the coveted Ruger Deerfield & Carbine .44mag semi auto rifles will lose their desirability and value and would suddenly become more available for sale because of the looming Bill Blair's revised firearm legislation which could see semi-autos be prohibited or at worst unlawful? If so these Ruger rifles along with other semi-autos could not be used for hunting so then why own one?. Help me me this.

I sold dozens of AR15s and converted CAR15s. Did they drop in worth when they were deemed prohibited? And were consumers compensated for this? We use to hunt groundhogs with one. Still can't figure out why the mini14 wasn't considered in that money sucking plan!

Bill Blair's revised firearms legislation?
Parliament rises for summer recess in a couple of months, and C-71 isn't law yet. Just getting C-71 passed and implemented will keep the powers that be busy.
An entire new piece of legislation drafted, passed and enacted prior to the election? Not impossible, but how likely?
Orders-in-Council... That is entirely another thing. Government by decree is always a possibility, and probably attractive to a politician who admires the Peoples Republic of China.
Would semi auto, non detachable magazine firearms specifically made for sporting purposes be banned? Who knows, but unless a ban were for everything, probably unlikely.
Would Ruger put the old tubular magazine .44 back in production? Doubt it. Not as cost effective to build as the Mini-14 derived .44. And they discontinued that one as well.
So, barring a ban on everything, I think the old .44s will hold value and continue to have a following.

Central or Range storage of restricted seems to be the buzz word from the Liberal Circus. Their logic being you can only use them at the range anyway so why do you need them at home.
Nevermind the shooters that go to multiple competitions, or that thieves could steal 1000 guns in one stop with this idea...
