Are there any clubs in Canada dedicated to collecting Ruger Single Action Revolvers? If yes, I would appreciate contact information.

Thanks

Thanks For The Info.

don't know about canada but check our rugerforum dot com for the definitive ruger site

BC Mike, Thanks for your reply. I am a member of the Rugerforum and I really enjoy it. Its one problem, for a Canadian, is that one is constantly being teased by all those nice Rugers that can't be imported without almost doubling their price.

Sometimes it's worth it when you come across something like this 1960 SBH with original presentation box.

BC Mike, Thanks for your post. I had almost stopped drooling after seeing your Ruger on the Ruger Forum. Now, here I go again.

Did you bring this revolver in from the US?

No I got it from a gent on CGN and it is ironic that another fellow who is an avid collector in the States has one just one serial number from mine and is frustrated on the US side for a change at not being able to make an offer on it. (Not that I'm anxious to sell anyway). If you are patient something will turn up.

If I Keep Looking At Your Ruger, Ill Need A Bib

BC Mike, Your Ruger is just amazing. It has such a wonderful deep shiny blue finish, wonderful grips and a presentation case. Do I remember reading that the case needs some repair?

I too would be reluctant to part with such a spectacular specimum, but can you imagine how nice it would be to own a consecutive pair.

Have a good one and cherish that lovely Ruger.

Thanks, yes you can see the box latches have been taken off because they got a bit loose but I do have them and the original finishing nails that held them on. There is nothing actually wrong with the box but I may have it professionally refurbished at some point by the Ruger box specialist in the States who is on the Ruger forum. Are you interested primarily in an earlier model BH or SBH? I can keep an eye out for you if you like.

BC Mike, Hi again, do you go by the same name on the Ruger Forum?

It would be great if you could have the presentation case refurbished by Ruger's own box specialist. What name does he go by on the Ruger Forum?

Years ago, I sold a brand new OM .357 mag. Blackhawk with a 6 1/2 inch barrel that I had bought new in 1969. I think that it cost me $125.00. I have tried to locate that gun, but I have failed to find it.

I do have another Ruger like it on its way to me. It is supposed to be in excellent condition (a leap of faith). The problem is that I want a pair of shooters and, as it turns out, the one that is coming is a rare Ruger. When it comes, I want another one that matches its condition. Then, I'll have to decide if I want to shoot the rare one or sell it and look for another one. As you know, there are quite a few of these availabe in the US.

Once I know what condition, year, that I am trying to match, I would appreciate you keeping a eye out for me.

Take care and have a good one!
