Ruger SP101 occasional DA action jams

What should I look at when it sometimes jams… fails to advance the cylinder in DA or by pulling back the hammer, releasing the trigger and going again seems to free it.

Not always the same cylinder, and with chambers empty.

Thoughts or experiences?

Pawl spring? I had one brake on a .22lr Sp101 when it was less then a year old....
I'd take it apart and have a look, it should be pretty obvious.

Clean under the ejector then make sure the ejector fully seats in the cylinder.
Make sure there is no buildup of fouling between the cylinder and barrel.

I had that issue with a Smith and Wesson at the range one day.... took me a little while to figure out was causing the lock up of the cylinder!
