I apologize in advance if this has already been gone over, but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas when these might become available in Canada? Or are they already here? If so, who has them and is the price comparable to the full size 1911?

I am looking forward to their arrival but I'm not holding my breath. At the 2012 SHOT Show I spoke to a Ruger rep who said they were running 3 shifts/day to produce SR1911s and couldn't keep up. That was way before Sandy Hook and all of the anti-gun crap going down in the US so I can only see the supply problem getting worse.
I hope I'm wrong but if they don't arrive before 2014 I wouldn't be surprised. I have an SR1911 and it would love a little brother but it could be a long term pregnancy before l'il bro shows up.
