Hey guys,
Having light primer strikes and failures to eject with my Ruger SR22 16" rifle. Sometimes the bullets remain in the chamber and dont extract but double feed.

  • Ammo used is run of the mill Federal and some gold box (i know they suck, maybe this is the issue but FTE is weird)
  • Kidd trigger and Sear 2lbs
  • Rubber bolt buffer
  • Factory Bolt and Firing Pin and Ejector (Pin and Ejector are new)
  • Factory Receiver
  • Factory SR22 Barrel
  • Knoxx Axiom Stock

Any ideas? Thanks!

I own a TCR/22 that was doing this the other day. Sprayed Ballistol in the chamber and barrel. Ran a bore snake thru it 2 times and kept shooting. Was using Federal Champion. Don’t think the ammo matters as all 22lr is filthy af. I will say that I’ve noticed considerable filth on my targets using this ammo at 12’ out of a pistol at an indoor range.

Have you thoroughly cleaned the bolt/firing pin, like taken it apart? same for the chamber, do you have a borescope? and if so have youlooked inside the chamber recently. As said, .22 is generally pretty dirty and if you keep your action oiled the soot will collect and eventually the firing pin can begin to drag. This will first show light strikes and can go on to slam fires if the pin sticks forward. I run my .22s with hardly any lube in the action, and NONE on the firing pin.
