As the title says, I bought a sr22p online and received it after waiting 9 weeks for Ontario transfer.

Lubed it and took it to the range. the slide would lock back every single shot. Every round had to be manually chambered. I sent it to snapshots for warranty.

Oddly enough I bought this pistol for its reliability. This is my 3rd Ruger product and I’m quite disappointed this time. Depending on my experience with snapshots, I may never by a Ruger again. Has anyone had any such experience?

Just an update on Ruger warranty incase anyone is wondering.
Snapshots paid for shipping both ways.
They received firearm June 23
I received it back July 6
Problem: Fail to feed every round. Brand new pistol.
Replaced: slide stop spring
Test fired: 50 rounds

Assuming it’s been fixed, I’m quite happy with their turnaround. Judging by the lack of responses, I assume I just had a tiny bit of bad luck and I will continue buying Ruger products. I look forward to trying it myself soon!

Just recently got one myself, I also had to wait extremely long time for the transfer. I only have about a hundred rounds through it, but I loaded up mags of some different velocity ammo to test it, CCI Stingers, mini-mags, standard velocity, CCI quiet semi-auto, Federal bulk blue box, and had no problems. Only ammo (so far) that it wouldn't cycle is the CCI quiet 710 ft/sec (the non semi-auto rated stuff). It is obviously still early but other than the super low velocity ammo, it has fed everything else so far (still low round count though). I have to say, I love this little firearm so far.. very light, loads of fun, and cheap to feed with 22LR.

Hope your issues have been resolved, as I think you will be happy with it.

I was hoping for an experience like yours when I purchased this pistol but things are getting frustrating. I shot 200 rounds and when cleaning found the bottom of the slide has been slamming into the takedown lever and both parts are severely worn/damaged. I got about 20 FTF out of the 200 from various ammo (federal bulk blue box, cci clean fire, cci mini mag). I contacted snapshots again and they asked for photos but never responded after I sent them.

I have put over 4000 rounds through mine. No real issues except for the rear sight elevation screw striped the plastic threads. SNAP SHOTs were great to deal with. A quick picture and the serial number and I had a new sight sent out the same day. They are great to deal with. Hope you get the same reliability that I have from my SR22.
