Seriously considering getting a Ruger SR9 now that they are available again and the price is very attractive. I have looked at most of the site sponsors websites but can't seem to find a holster for it available from anyone...any suggestions where to look? Would prefer one with a hold mechanism, button release, etc.

I had and sold a very good one. It was a Minotaur Gladiator holster. Sort of a hybrid leather and kydex deal. Very comfortable on the hip.
A bit spendy but looks pretty cool!
I'm using a Blackhawk Serpa with my SR9. It fits the belt well and holds the pistol solidly, and has a very usable retention system. The button is designed to that your index finger depresses it, then you can draw the pistol. I find it helps me to remember to index my trigger finger on the triggerguard.
I know there are people who just don't like the Serpa holsters, but I can't complain about mine.

That's exactly why I want the button...helps to keep the finger out of the trigger when drawing. I'm going to Southern California in a little over a week so might see if I can find one while I'm away for work.

I called Wanstalls and they have the Kydex ones in stock. They are friction retention but at least they have them.Owner Kim Page tells us that she sells several pink holsters to some pretty big, macho men. Nobody laughs .....
