Got a mint Ruger SR9 from EE recently, and now that i have few rounds (about 200 EXACTLY
) thru it, I gotta say it kinda rules.
good sights,
good ergo (for a plastic gun, still got nothing on a 1911
)
great weight,
great finish
good accuracy,
good recoil management,
great trigger. yes, i said great trigger. no, it's not 1911, but heck of a lot better than stock glocks that i've shot (few, but i'm not knocking glock here. just that SR9's trigger is very good, very crisp, reset is pretty short as well)
good reliability (1 or 2 stove pipe in those 200)
The only negative i can think of is... that trigger is a little weird with that glock-like safe trigger, it kinda bounces back on recoil and hits the pad of my finger if my trigger finger isn't positioned Just-Right.
and i guess the cost of centre fire ammo.... stupid expensive.. got a freaking box of 1000 for almost 260 tax in... 13$ per 50 rounds , that's 26 cents per round!!!
so, to sum up.. it's pretty good. if you get a chance, try it out!.
