I just got my RPAL and was looking for my first 9mm. Did all the research and found one I like. But it's backordered. Does anybody know when Ruger is shipping out the new SR9? Thanks.

Thats the gun I wanted for my first hand gun, I got so tired of looking and hearing about long time back orders that I went with a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm instead. Good luck though, I hope they make it to Canada some day, I may still buy one, its a sweet looking gun IMPO.

If you find one, make sure it is the latest generation, as the trigger is somewhat better than on older versions. It will have the reverse D mag release as opposed to a round mag release on the older version.

I asked about these at grouse river in kelowna and they said there are more people backordering the sr9 than the sr40 so i put my name down for the 40. but who knows when they will materialize.

They pop up on the exchange quite often, keep your ears and eyes open you will get one no sweat and I will bet you won't have to wait as long as the backordered ones, I have both the 40 and the 9 in stainless and the felt recoil makes the gun a nice shooter.they did a good job with these and the P345 45 is also a very nicely balanced gun and the felt recoil on it makes it a nice shooter as well just my two cents
cheers

I saw one a while back at one of the lOcal stores in Calgary.

It's best if you call around to check. There are a lot of stores that have next to no Internet presence but stock all sorts of stuff.

Even among the forum sponsors, they have stuff come and go all the time so you have to constantly check if you don't want to wait for shipments.

And there EE.

in exeter sporting goods?

Yes sir:) He wants like $600 or so for it which is probably why its still there. Held it a few months back then bought one at Italian in Van for $459. Happened to back in Exeter last weekend and had a look and its still there along side a Sig 1911 that just made me drool and my made my wallet cramp lol

But if people are that serious about getting one, its there to be had

Scuttlebutt at one of the local gun shops is that they are expecting a significant Ruger order at the end of this month. Not sure if the SR9's are coming, but various other guns are expected.

Most showing up on the EE
Are the old version and asking new version prices. I checked almost every dealer online or otherwise and my findings were that there were no new ones in stock anywhere.

Really? I've bought two off the EE in the past 5 months and they both were the new versions.

Bet you paid close to new prices , My new one is $447 and the ones that i saw on EE were priced north of that. I rarely buy used guns because there are way too many amateur gunsmithing cowboys on here. G:

I paid $500 + shipping for one off the EE last month with three mags. It was in great condition as far as I could see. In that condition I did not mind save a couple hundred bucks off new.
