I know -people either love 'em or hate 'em but regardless of how you feel about them you have to admit they're high on the list of practicality for crap weather. I don't consider these stocks to be a thing of beauty either but they do seem to be tough and durable.
I like a rifle that I don't have to be overly careful of in handling.
Here's my beauties/uglies depending on your point of view. All comments are welcome, whether good, bad or indifferent and I'd be happy to see pics of others.

Your guns are all business IMO - I like your triplets.

I've got the latest issue stocks on three all weather Ruger 77s in 350RM, 358 and 350WSM - they are not as good in my opinion as the old ones - not as stiff and tough.

Put a boat paddle on my 358 Frontier for the same good reasons u already highlighted.

The sling swivels are awesome, what an engineering feat. And the grip inserts attached by screws, who woulda thought of that? Marvelous!

Now if only one could tell who the manfacturer is..................oh wait, there it is, RUGER in raised letters in the buttstock. :D

Ruger Boat Paddle Stocks....

I've got one of the limited run Ruger 77 MkII stainless models in 7.62x39mm that came with the boat paddle stock (with inserts):

I've since changed it out for a "new style" Ruger factory synthetic stock, though.

Personally, I like it much better:

The old boat paddle stock with inserts hangs on my gunroom wall as a decoration.... :p

Nice NAA, I like the new stock look as well. With the boat paddles I prefer the black inserts over others.
Is that Williams sights you have? I'm assuming you put them on (or got put on, whichever) ?

Is the top gun in some fuddy caliber? The one with iron sights?

EDIT: Ok it's 30-06 just as bad lol

I would like to have that rifle that you have!

my youngest son has 2 of the canoe paddels, one in 270 and the other in 260, both are now in Ruger walnut stocks, and looking mighty smart! They would only go back into the canoe paddel if charging bush was the order of the day!

I had one in 7mm Rem Mag. I would describe it as a tough rifle that was hunting accurate, mostly because of an absolutely brutal trigger. Shot lots of animals with it, but don't really miss it. Nothing stood out that would make me want to buy another one.

Yes, Williams sites that were professionally installed before the rifle came into my possession. Normally, I would've balked at it but the rifle was a limited run & I waited long for one to come along, so I took this one when it was available.

I've had them, but never really liked them much. I swapped mine out for better synthetic stocks and liked them better. The boat paddles could kick pretty good if they didn't fit you.

That sucker kicked me like an angry mule. Hurts just thinking of it. Not great recoil pads either.

Had the same gun. I agree it kicked like a mule, I ended up selling it for a lightweight 300 Weatherby. The Weatherby's recoil felt like a butterfly kiss compared the to Ruger.
